Stay Tuned with Audiovox
JDA’s first project with Audiovox was to develop an in-store program to educate customers on the digital transition as well promote their RCA antennas. Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard that coming February 17, 2009, all major TV stations will deliver programming exclusively in digital format. RCA antennas, along with a converter box, update analog televisions for digital reception. Even if you already have cable or satellite, an RCA antenna can improve the reception of digital signals.
The first step of our campaign was to develop a logo and tagline. We presented many concepts, but they felt our “Stay Tuned” logo resonated with their team and audience. The tagline “Digital Transition Made Easy—More Channels, More Programs, More Quality” succinctly described the benefits.

The next step was to provide more details for the customers. A brochure was developed to use in-store. A web banner was created to draw attention to the program on the Internet. And finally, a Flash module was created for the RCA website to offer even more detail about the transition and the benefits of RCA antennas.

Janet Hunt, Brand Manager at Audiovox, was enthusiastic about the end result. She said "JDA was chosen from among several agencies to execute communications
about the digital transition to potential RCA Digital Antenna
customers. They presented several uniquely viable and creative
concepts and we almost unanimously selected their 'Stay Tuned'
message. The logo and tagline quickly conveyed the concept.

"Simplifying a complicated message was the next task, and they
executed this excellently in several mediums. The core message was to
get potential customers without cable or satellite to understand an
RCA Digital Antenna would enhance their TV's reception. Even customers
with pay-for-service reception could benefit by using an RCA Antenna.
JDA was able to grasp this concept, and illustrate it through words
and pictures that really drove our story home. We received rave
reviews from the retailers."
GlobalFlex: Global Reach with Local Touch
Cooper Bayliss came to JDA with a challenging job. He wanted to rename his company, NetGlobal, and develop a new marketing program to attract new customers. NetGlobal already had a loyal customer base, but the name didn’t accurately convey the company’s core business, which is outsourcing packaging design, manufacturing and printing overseas.
Our first step was to brainstorm new company names and taglines. The name GlobalFlex was chosen because of its reference to flexible packaging as well as the fact that GlobalFlex is easy to work with. The tagline, “The Gateway to Worldwide Packaging”, communicated the company’s global reach.

After the new name and tagline were decided, support materials were developed which included a corporate website and brochure. The website has a Flash module that provides an overview of GlobalFlex offerings. If a visitor wants to get more information, they can click through the various categories. The brochure is a complement to the website, and functions as a leave behind for new customers. We are now in the process of developing a direct mail program for new and existing clients.

Cooper was very pleased with the results, and reported that, "I came to JDA with an entire rebranding project for our company. They immediately understood my direction, greatly improved on the concept and delivered a cutting edge, finished rebranding and amazing website for our company far beyond my expectations, while staying within our budget. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for a quality, cost-effective, responsive design firm."
Yale Came Calling
Abel Rodriguez, Graphic Designer at JDA for over a year, decided to pursue a Master of Arts degree. Yale came calling, and he is now moving to the East Coast. His talent and easygoing personality will be missed, but Maria Bautista has already stepped into his shoes.
Maria comes to us with many years of experience, most recently at Dermalogica. Her previous Art Director gave her such a glowing recommendation, we couldn’t wait to have her join our team. She has a clean design style with a great eye for detail. We are looking forward to working with Maria some time to come.
