NOTEWORTHY SPECIAL EDITION
Jensen Design Associates becomes JDA, Refines their Brand with Focus on Design for Retail. We have been in the “design business” for over 15 years and in the interest of our progress and growth we took a look at our portfolio, our clients, and our passions. With the help of consultant and client, Michael Weissman of Fresh Perspectives, we were able to identify and promote our strengths and refine our processes. This transition has brought exciting changes to JDA. First, our name is changing. Since we opened our doors, we have often referred to ourselves as JDA. So, to kick off the new year, we have officially decided to call ourselves JDA. Along with the new name, comes a new identity, new logo, business papers, and new web address. One thing that remains the same is our cohesive team of creatives and account managers with like-minded values when it comes to creative approaches and customer service. Second, we reviewed our body of work and noted that we have the most experience in designing for retail, including packaging, POP, promotions, collateral, websites, and sales support. We wanted a tag line and web address that reflects this experience and helps customers understand our specialty--hence the tagline “Retail Ready Design”. We feel there is a sense of action and purpose to this descriptor. Finally, we reviewed our roster of clients. We definitely have a niche in the consumer electronics area. Our talents are enhanced by our passion for the CE category. We are early adapters of new technology and several staff members worked on the manufacturing side before joining the agency which gives JDA a greater insight into the channel. Our next step is to update our website to reflect our new focus. We are going to make the site more beneficial for our clients.
